Scorpio New Moon - November 19/20th

Honestly, Who Gave Scorpio a Megaphone?

Hello friends!

It has been a MINUTE since I've sat down to write you all a blog, but with life the way it is, I’ve found myself with some time and the will to sit and write some info out for you! So settle in and buckle up, because we are diving into the New Moon in Scorpio.

Scorpio: The Fixed Water Sign™

Scorpio is a fixed water sign — which means they are stubborn, moody, and refuse to listen to anyone (but maybe that’s just my jaded Cancer @$$ talking).

In a more neutral tone: Scorpio is powerful, loyal, intuitive, passionate, deep, mysterious, and creative. They're hard to understand, and frankly, they don’t want to be understood. As soon as you think you’ve got them figured out, they’ll switch it up just to watch you squirm.

But we need Scorpios. They remind us of the depths within ourselves and give us space to feel just as intensely, without judgment.

Scorpio Moon Vibes:

When the Moon is in Scorpio, we might feel a little more emo than usual. A bit “the world is out to get me” or “I need to change my entire life, like, right now” vibes.

This New Moon is whispering (or screaming):

“Where am I done pretending things are fine?”And then it immediately asks:“Okay, so what are you going to do about it?”

Rulership: Mars & Pluto, aka Chaos Duo

Scorpio is ruled by Mars (traditional) and Pluto (modern). These two are not exactly sunshine and butterflies.

  • Mars is action, war, fire, drive, courage, and that unhinged urge to "do something" dramatic.

  • Pluto is transformation, death and rebirth, shadow work, power, and yes, the deep psychic purge.

Mars is your gym playlist and your panic button. Pluto is the therapist you ghosted because they asked one too many good questions.

Together, these two drive Scorpio’s energy into the underworld of the psyche, the shadowy corners of our emotional basements. And the New Moon here? She's knocking on the door and handing you a flashlight.

Also, It’s Literally Dark Out

The Sun is setting before most of us finish our first coffee, and Daylight Savings isn't helping. It’s giving Hades. It’s giving, why is it 4 p.m. and I’m already sad?

But as I’ve said before (and if you attend Moon Circle, you've definitely heard this):

We do not set up camp in Hades.

We can visit the underworld. We can cry in the shower. But we don’t hang curtains and pretend it’s home.

The darkness of this time (both seasonal and energetic) invites us to plant seeds. The New Moon always begins a cycle, and in Scorpio, this cycle is deep, internal, private, and powerful.

Ask yourself:

  • What is asking to be planted in this darkness?

  • Where is my inner light, even when the world feels dim?

  • What truths have I been avoiding — and why?

  • What boundaries need to be set in order to protect that light?

Scorpio doesn’t want applause for healing. Scorpio says:

“Don’t tell them. Show them. Later. When you're done.”

Manifestation & Ritual Ideas

Under this New Moon:

  • Set energetic boundaries, especially if you've been feeling too exposed.

  • Manifest internal shifts, not external outcomes (think: healing patterns, shedding shame, letting go of power struggles).

  • Write a letter to the version of yourself you're leaving behind, then burn it, bury it, or freeze it (yes, really).

  • Take a ritual bath with dark crystals, mugwort, or rosemary.

  • Journal without editing yourself, go full purge mode.

  • Clean out one corner of your house and treat it like a symbol of inner cleansing.

Bonus Astrology to Watch

Scorpio may be the main character for now, but the sky’s got a lot happening this month. Here’s the vibe shift forecast:

  • Nov 21 – Sun enters Sagittarius: Time to lift the mood, get philosophical, and maybe plan a trip to escape your emotional swamp.

  • Nov 27 – Saturn goes direct in Pisces: Saturn’s been in retrograde since June 17. Whatever karmic slog you've been trudging through? It's finally moving forward.

  • Nov 29 – Mercury goes direct (after being retrograde since Nov 9): Get ready for slightly fewer typos, awkward conversations, and broken appliances.

  • Nov 30 – Venus enters Sagittarius: Love gets bold, funny, and maybe just a little bit reckless.

  • Dec 4 – Full Moon in Gemini: A head vs. heart moment, incoming. Start thinking about what you’re ready to release by then.

Final Thoughts

This Scorpio New Moon is not here for aesthetic healing. It’s not here to be soft and pretty. It’s here to pull you into the deep, and ask if you’re willing to resurface as someone a little more honest, a little more whole, and a little less afraid of your own intensity.

Let it.

Build in secret.Heal in private. And trust that what you're becoming is worth the mystery.
